ok so this weekend is going to be busy, heres the projects.
1) Install 1 - 100gallon storage tank for constant water change system.
This tank will have a mixing pump inside on a timer and then will be plumbed to connect to a Stenner Pump inside the house thats plugged in my apex to do the constant water changes.
2) Install 1 - 100gallon ro/di storage tank for ATO.
This tank will be connected to my ro/di system with a float value for shutoff. It then will be plumbed to a 5gallon ato tank thats inside the house with a float valve to shut off when full. My Apex ATK will then suck from that to my sump.
3) Build storage box with lid to house the 2 - 100 gallon tanks.
4) Build pad next to house to put the box with the storage tanks in it.
5) Dismantle and remove old acrylic 130 gallon tank.
6) Install New Custom Built by Planet Aquarium Starfire Glass 38x24x30 trimless with black bottom and back tank.
so the box is ready except for putting the hinges on the lid and then having to carry it over the A/C unit and putting it in place... might need some day labor to help with that. Then tomorrow we will install the 2 - 100 gallon tanks inside it and cut the holes in the wall of my house and plumb it. Cody Noel "cody" with Mint Reef is really doing most of the work for the AWC system, he designed it and picked up all the materials and did most all of the build.. ive helped with the staining and supervising. Cody lives way north and im downtown so it not easy for him to make it all the way down here so im VERY grateful for all the work he's been doing.
Sunday around noonish, Cody and Sharath are supposed to come over and help begin the dismantling of my old tank. Around 4ish Dennis with FJW is supposed to come and install and plumb the new tank with colored red pipe and white fittings to match my red trigger sump. Then he's going to help with the rock work and finding places for all my coral. Dennis (FJW) is who helped design and ordered the new tank, hes been a huge help and has put up with me calling everyday asking if my tank is ready yet.
Also some livestock are gonna have to go, they have become to large for my tank and this is my big chance to catch them and find them a new home. I have a snowflake eel thats about 12" long, a lobster thats about 5" long, and 2 large black/yellow damsels that have to go. Theyve been in my tank for about 3 yrs and the rabbit fish eats out of my hand so he will be missed.
So thats the plan I just hope everything works out and that I dont have to make too many more trips to the Home depot... ill be posting pics along the way...wish me luck!
