This was my favorite Acro back when my 150 was the reef tank, but it died along with all the others in the year of moving and neglect. I don't think it had a "designer" name, I'm more looking for a species name. I'm thinking maybe it was a lokani or turaki, but I'm not sure.

Second question - does anyone have frags of something like this for sale?

Reminds me of a lokani I saw few months ago. It really depends on the size of the “branches”

Its a Hawkins Echinata. I have a mini-colony growing back now after I lost mine when I moved.

Thanks everyone for the replies. So, we have 2 votes for echinata and 2 for lokani - I may have to flip a coin to find out what it really was.

Most pictures of echinata I've seen seem to have more and shorter branches, but the picture on the ORA site looks quite a bit like this. I would probably be happy with either one, or maybe one of each.

Lokanis have more rounded terminal growth tips. 20k lokani in my tank.

The picture you posted is a textbook echinata in my opinion. My ORA Hawkins Echinata in the bottom left of the picture.

Ty, since you have one of each, you have three days to get them grown enough to frag so you can come to the Christmas party and deliver them to me.

Thanks for the more detailed explanation - you have me pretty much convinced that it was an echinata.

The pressure! Ahhh!

Someone send me a private jet and I'll jump in and attend. I'll accept alternatively a helicopter too! [emoji16]

Just don't send Cody in a Winnebago to pick me up.

Let’s just say mine was a confident guess

You got an official FarmerTy Thumbs up from me. It won't get you much in life but may get you bigger frags from me. [emoji12]
