I am building a diy led, and was wondering which method of cooling was best. It will be a reefbrite style fixture(actinic strip light) to supplement colors. Around 10-15 3w luxeon leds, meanwell driver and potentiometer. What method of cooling would work best while maintaining a low profile in canopy?

What heatsink are you using?

The bar you're making by itself shouldn't need cooling. However, you're running a halide, so that might push the heat up too much. I'd try to mount the driver away from the halide. Does the halide unit have a fan in it already?

Yeah there is already a cooling fan for the halide. The bar will be mounted far away from the halide so that shouldnt be a problem. Thanks
