Sorry “fish room visual monitoring devices”

Aren’t we all? Lol
I have one set up for giggles and another waiting. Once I'm done, I'll have multiple monitoring the sump, room, etc. I don't really look at them that much though.

Looks like it is time to upgrade from the 150 but looks good. I say you need a 300 gallon now

Yeah I'm not even done setting this dang thing up. Still have to mount all of the corals too. They're just kind of sitting around now.

Hopefully, I will have the 60 rimless broken down this weekend after all of the colonies are sold. I arranged things in the 150 today to look more like an actual reef tank. Blues are on so it's definitely blue washed, but looking better.

A little update: The room is already getting up to 82 during the heat of day. Last year it was very cool, but last year I didn't have lights, all the equipment, etc. The first step in fixing this was to put insulation above the room. If you touch the ceiling, it's warm. If you go into the attic and touch the drywall above it, it's cool. That means that heat is definitely leaking in from the attic via the exposed dry wall. I put in some R-30 attic insulation tonight. Wanted to wait for the attic to cool off.

I also need to address the window. A LOT of heat comes in through the single panel, cheap window that I put in. I fitted some insulating foam board to cover it today, but it only has an R-3 rating and I can still feel heat on the foam board. I bought some fiberglass R-13 insulation that's used for insulating walls. I'm going to put some behind the foam board tomorrow and sandwich it up against the window. It will look like crap from outside the window, but frankly, I don't care.

The heat wouldn't be an issue whatsoever were it not for the system I have on the wall in the fish room. My main system, which has the display on the inside of the house, stays a crisp 78 degrees all day. The secondary system on the fish room is getting up to 82 these days, and I don't want to push that much further.

I just pulled a Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor on my refugium light. Ready to get this sucker up and running. Holy cow, it's stupid bright. It's says 1200w but only comes in at a meer 310w. Bought to fry some macros, baby!

Cody is experimenting with a new method of nutrient import. :woot:
I chunk a couple gallons worth of cheato every Sunday. I have some updates comings soon but I've been living out of town for a while now. Just trying to catch up to normal life now. Travelling for work sucks.

I've been out of town for a while due to work, but I should have some interesting updates posted up soon. A larger system has been a teaching experience, same as any sized tank You just learn different things depending on the size of the tank.

So as of today, I have an adequately sized skimmer up and running. I've been coasting by since May on a smaller skimmer that I made, I finally have a boss hoss up and running. The amount of bubbles that I have are amazing to watch. I have a few things to tweek, but I'm proud of this skimmer that I made.
