So far so good. Not even a day in. The only issue so far was reporting results to fusion. Took longer than expected but finally showed up. Keep in mind once everything is setup and initialized the standard setting is to test alk 4 times per day and ca/mg twice so you may have to adjust the number of tests per day to get it to test shortly after install.

I’ll calibrate it thurs or fri and then see how the numbers compare. If I’m happy with its results I’ll go ahead and let it start to control dos dosing.

Will be interesting to see how this goes. Looking forward to your posts/progress on this!

It’s recommended that you wait ten days before letting it operate the dos... I ended up turning off it operating calk because it’s just too fine of an adjustment to keep it steady without alarms. But it’s great wilts the alk. Also I don’t think you’ll be able to reduce the testing schedule from 4/2 I think that’s is as low as it goes.. that’s how they make their money.

Yes. 4/2 is the least it will test. I’ve put in a ticket for them to look at my system. I’m getting a mag alarm showing 1362 (my set point max is 1360) but my fusion trident tile only shows 1357. Just want them to check it out and see if it’s operating correctly.

I’ll probably be 10 days or so when my dos returns from Neptune as it has some water damage to the main board.

Update:

Neptune said to turn off alarms for user set points On the trident for the first 7-10 days.

Turn off the alarms for the Trident at least until after you calibrate it the first time, which should be after 7-10 days on the system.

that makes sense since your already probably watching it 10 times a day just because its cool as hell! i bought a bunch of extra calibrating fluid just to make sure it working correctly...after calibrating it i also use that same fluid to check my hanna and salifert test kits to see how close they are with the sample. the 3 will never be exactly the same but it gives you something to work with when trying to compare the trident to a manual test for accuracy. i do notice that your regent low alarms will appear when there is still alot of regent left and then it stops testing until you replace the regent and tells you not to reuse the leftovers... so even at 4/2 it doesnt make it the full month.... buy some extra to keep on hand.

There has been some discussion about the low reagent alarm and how to work around that. Check the Neptune forum on r2r.

How much higher is your Hannah alk checker than the trident? How close is the Hannah to the Neptune cal fluid?

Trident already earning its money.

Alk is dropping so corals are growing. Upped the doser twice already in the past 5 days. Good problem to have.

It’s pretty easy to learn. Not much to it. Just another toy lol. But a good tool to watch trends. Will also be helpful when I need a calcium reactor.

>> exactly what I'm wondering -- how to implement if you plan on calcium reactor?

Any thoughts or threads you could point me to?
