Also, I got tired of electrical float switch for top offs, so I decided to do a gravity feed and float valves for both tanks. I moved the water storage tank next to the fish room, raised it above the height of the sumps, built some acrylic float valve holders, and plumbed it all up. Couldn't recommend it more. It's bullet proof, very few things to fail, and simple. I'm thinking of making a smaller version that could be used for other folks with smaller systems.

Wow that’s some serious back breaking work. Smoothing out the old mortar will be very time consuming.

Good job!!!!

As far as how the tank has been doing, it has been "eh". The milli has been recovering but not very quickly. Some corals are doing well, some are doing ok. Looking at my notes, my alk hasn't been above 7.2 for six or seven months. It has been as low as 5.0, but it has been stable. The issue is negligence and equipment failure. Either way, I'm going to set up a CaRX, stabilize it out, and go from there. I'll have more pictures of that coming up soon.

Yeah, it was. My back was demolished. I got all of it up, but it took a week of vacation to do it. I had another week of vacation coming up, but between having to level the floors, lay the new tile, and having a demolition zone for a home, I broke down and paid someone to lay the new tile. They knocked it out in a couple of days, and I'm glad I left that one to professions.

Smart-that’s one thing I didn’t want to mess with. We just got ours done.

Luckily my fish room is wood floors. [emoji4] so no need to move the tank

Now I have some drywall repair to be done before we paint. After building my fish room, I learned how to do drywall. The proper way to do drywall is to pay someone to do it. It's a real pain in the butt. Then, we will paint, replace all the mold, etc. I am going to replace the cabinets myself, countertops via contractor, and windows via contractor too. I will do the guest bathroom myself though. Either way, I need to focus in on the tank again for a while.

Looking like it’s coming back together Cody. Even though you have had some issues lately with the tank it still looks pretty good. Did you loose all the green monti cap? I still need to get with you once you get the shop back up and running. Need to get a ATO reservoir built one day.

Nah, I didn't lose it. What I had left was put towards making tri-colored monti colonies where they grow into each other. Got a nice colony going on at the moment. I love those blending color montis.

The proper name is “Dancing montis” ©️ My dad 😂😂😂
Haha yep. I have a nice new one growing out now. It's not as tightly clustered as I want, but I'll hit it with more flow and fix that.

@Bullitt519 Are you happy now? I saw you complaining that noone posts tank pics. Anyway, everything except for the milli is thriving. It took a hard hit in April and it's still growing, but the polyps won't seem to come back and the coloration isn't the same. Also, I just built some shelves for my stand and finally put them in today.

Haha looks pretty good to me! People would prob still love to have your tank. The milli will bounce back. Still appears to have good color. Dig the scape especially when the milli comes back and the left side grows in more.

Yeah the left side needs some loving. A few of those colonies aren't mine. I'm just house sitting them. I've been holding space a handful of really nice sps on my list, just haven't gotten around to getting them. I've got a homewrecker waiting for me too!

Nice! What’s others are you wanting? Home wrecker is nice I just can’t afford to get one and something happen and I loose it. My Walt Disney grows like a snail. But I am getting some new tips on it finally.

Not much change in the fish room. I think I mentioned before that I put a four bulb t5 over the top long tank. The only problem is that if all bulbs are on, and the heaters kick on, it blows the breaker. Too much amperage. I'm going to have to sell it and replace it for LEDs. I still have the one 40 breeder with lights over it and ready to go, but I like it just holding extra live rock for now. I'll eventually turn it into a functioning display. I also plan on going through the long tanks soon, adding rockscape, and making them look nicer. Just haven't decided when I want to do it.

Oh, I don't recall their names off of the top of my head. A fellow hobbiest has a few of them and I just need to text him soon and figure out when to get them. I thought I might wait to get them until after my CaRX stabalizes though. I'm building it as we speak. Literally, the computer I'm typing on is running the CNC router haha

You are building you own from scratch?
Yep. Same as my skimmer. Once you get the files designed, there's not much to it. I'm making a second for another MARSH member to help trouble shoot for me as well. I always want my designs to improve. Having said that, there really just isn't much to a CaRX. It's a plastic chamber with a pump attached to it.
