I picked this up recently, really impressed with it. They’ve been around over the years in a few different forms, I really like the design on this one.

The basics: frozen food floats and if you throw it in your tank it’s destined to go in the overflow or somewhere the fish can’t find it.

This gadget holds the floating food in an area so it floats where you need it most. I use mine right above my gyre and the pump suction tumbles the food and pulls it out right where I need it.

Holy Claw makes it and it retails for $30 shipped.

I tried one with a long extension tube, but there was no circulation, so some stuff never sunk, and it rotted in place. I may try it again one day with different food, but for now, its in a pile of aquarium gadgets that I don't have use for. Fortunately, it was pretty inexpensive, about the same as that IM defroster.
