Diving starts at 2:30
Does he want company?? I was finally going to go to the Keys, but I can put that off a bit longerWish I could go collect several of those small damsel’s and other tiny fish.
My friend is going diving there soon. He’s been several times already specifically hunting Magnifica anemones.
He might. I’ll ask him.Does he want company?? I was finally going to go to the Keys, but I can put that off a bit longer
I noticed there was a new documentary about this on Netflix yesterday. Could help raise awareness, not that anything ever gets done... I have not watched it and a little afraid to since there is a chance they blame our hobby.I was thinking about this today. There’s a good chance that our grandchildren won’t have tuna. Like, that species might exist, but you’d have to be super rich to be able to afford a slice, and maybe none would exist for the next generation.
Nor would our hobby, outside of those that are keeping the creatures alive on land, which the average joe couldn’t afford at that point.
I’ve been watching them close. Some species took it hard while others are already coming back. Some weren’t affected much at all, but most lost their leaves. Depending on the species...if you cut them off it will provoke new growth.Another change is.... When I did my Houston Galveston trip 8 years ago I did see a few palm trees. After your winter blast last February... Did they survive?
Ya I know a lot about palm trees.. I have one too. It is 6 feet high if you include the pot. In my climate I can leave it outside April 1 st to some time in November... Washingtonia. Now I have to make sure it does not get too much sun or it will fry. It has been getting its sun through a window for the last 4.5 months. In 2 weeks it should be fine.
Yeah plus a lot of plastic is being consumed by small critters and making it’s way up the food chain. From what I understand, we are already eating something like a credit card worth of plastic per month.I noticed there was a new documentary about this on Netflix yesterday. Any time I tell someone I have coral I end up having to explain that I am not destroying the ocean, I'm only taking small chunks and growing them out. I like to think our hobby is a form of seed vault. If the human race does not wise up and wipes out all reefs, we will have a small chunk stored away to try and "recover" them. Would never be the same, but would be better than nothing.
Is that your backyard tangs? Looks relaxing!Ya Palm trees are not even trees. They are big plants. Sorry for the blurt pic. If you click on it... it becomes a lot clearer.
