Had to remove a large Ricordia from a rock because it was killing part of my JF Burning Banana stylo. Not very easy. I lucked out one night looking with a red flashlight and its foot was not as fully attached to the rock as normal, so was able to get a finger under it. Even with that slight advantage and being as careful as I could, I still damaged its foot more than I expected. It is recovering in an acclimation box, and I think it will be ok.
I have lost 5 Acros since the freeze, mostly weeks or months after so I don't know if they were stressed and just took a while to suddenly die overnight, or if it has nothing to do with the freeze. I did an ICP test, and the only thing flagged was low strontium, which from what I read on R2R from Randy Holmes-Farley is not that important.
