So, I went in search of viable eggs to rescue and found that James was willing to help me out. He has put a lot of time and effort into helping me collect his newborns. From the first batch I have collected from him, I have 13 current surviving to the 28 day mark. I am extremely pleased with these numbers for my first ever attempt at rearing sea life. My plan is to keep 2 of the original clutch for myself. I will be donating the remainder of the clutch back to marsh members at the 3 month mark, when they are safe to transport. If this is something that you would be interested in please comment below with 1 or a pair, so that I can keep a running log on interest.
I plan on doing more at my earliest success, so keep an eye out.
I have plenty of housing, and am installing sump and refugium today. If anyone has adult clowns or adult pairs needing a home or temporary boarding please reach out to me. With desired clown pairs going for over $1000 it’s not likely I will fill my 12 tank setup any time soon.
Thank you for your interest in this endeavor.
