I like the Skys the best out of the three, though they aren't the strongest of the three. I've used most major brands of LEDs and Radions are my usual go to but color and spread are better with the Skys. They put out about 5% less PAR than the other two lights did and have slightly less controllability since they have less color channels. With the preset spectrums the controllability really doesn't matter much as the colors don't need to be messed with much if at all. Compared to the preset AB+ on the Radions, the Skys version color looks better, spread is amazing (feels like a T5) and the growth in the tank seems identical. I think Radions with a T5 fixture would certainly be better, not much will beat a hybrid setup like that, but that's a whole extra fixture, more cash, more maintenance and more power consumption etc.. The Radions also made the room hot as can be and switching to the Skys lowered the tanks temp by almost 3 degrees and saved me a ton of time/effort and cash not having to set up a chiller which I certainly would have needed with the Radions in the height of the summer, even more so if I added a T5 strip which was my original plan. Unless they end up having a long term issue and break often I think the Skys will be my new go to. They have been running a few months now with no issues and they were pretty simple to install and get going. Let me know if you had any questions or interested in getting some Skys.i could be wrong but looked like you went from redsea 160s, to radions, to skys. If so, how would you compare them? Im considering some skys.
I wonder if the overpowering green has to do with the Bayer pattern in the CMOS chip in your camera.
Must admit I don't know enough about the cameras, but it seems to only be an issue with the Sky lights. I don't have the same issue using the same camera under other lights. I'll have to look into it. Need to start taking more pics of the tank and figured I'd just switch back to my old Canon for this tank.I wonder if the overpowering green has to do with the Bayer pattern in the CMOS chip in your camera.
