Grew up in San Diego, CA; but don't hold that against me! My dad was in the military and this is where he was stationed when I was born. I was followed suit by swearing in back in 1993. While most of my family members (the boomers) decided to make careers out of it, I opted to roll the dice in the civilian world. It was a bittersweet decision, hindsight being 20/20.
Before moving to Houston, I was in Ohio. The jobs were low paying and didn't provide my wife and I the growth opportunities we were hoping for. More importantly, we both agreed that Texas schools would be a better choice for our kiddos. So, packed up and heades south! That was in 2006.
Got pretty heavy into reef tanks on accident. That was 2007. Joined MARSH in 2008. This is where my Reef Journey really began. I'm 46 years old now (d'oh!) and pretty darn close to being an empty nester. It's crazy how fast time zooms by! At least I have my reef to help me slow it down a bit...
