From what I understand hypo salinity has a lot of benefits, one is higher oxygen levels. I read that you need to bring the levels back up slowly just a couple points a day. But I’m pretty new to fish diseases, other than ich. There’s a video on youtube from reef2reef that explains it some.
When I got home the tang and little clown were stuck to the power head. Both were still breathing, the clowns white stripes are bronze in color with a faint white outline. Can’t get a pic to show it. I noticed that the tang also has a bronze look around his gills, it kinda glimmers in the light...
I thought hypo was the least stressful for the fish, and copper being stressful
I did raise it back up some to 12-13ppt they seemed happy before at that level. I’m just worried it’s something bad like velvet or brook.
Yes, sort of. I added three fish from LiveAquaria on the first. Then added the rest of my fish and started lowering the salinity on the 2nd I think. All of the fish but the gramma seemed to be doing good. I never noticed any spots until this morning. And the tang is the only one showing them.
