Me and a friend finished removing the scratches this morning. Ended up with a few lite whirls in upper right corner but not visible with water in tank.

Also hung LEDs in hood.

Drain plumbing. I have a love/hate thing for unions. Hoping these don’t end up being in the hate column lol..

Sharp. Looks like you and I were both plumbing this evening. I just have to glue a few pieces that were dry fitted tonight, finish the canopy, and I'll be fully functional. Who's gonna win? Reefaholic, you, or me?!!

I'm sure it won't be me. Entering the holiday season at work and will be short staffed.
I went ahead and posted up a public challenge anyway haha

What product are you using Steve for the scratch removal?

I'm glad the product actually worked...
Few years back I used a product on my Elos but it didn't work at all. That's what I don't like about the glass tanks - scratches are almost permanent.

I definitely practiced on some other tanks.

On the 265 I did end up with a few very lite whirls in the corner due to not being able to go past them with polishing pad but they aren’t visible when water is in tank.

Made some changes to the lighting. Originally was going to use all LED but decided to reduce the # units and add T5 retro kits to balance.

This required a rework of the light hanging system.

Decided on a sliding shelf to make bulb changes easy!

Big shout out to Cody for helping get this thing built.

Lights so powerful they done given Cody the bald head! Lol.

Anyways still need to make a few adjustments and paint it, but happy it’s built!

I will be adding 3 more of the 165w mars aqua leds.

Lighting changes before water! I love it!

Lol yeah if I don’t like it, I’m not afraid to yank it out and redo it.

I didn’t like the two rows of black box leds. I had originally wanted to angle the front row of leds towards the back but ended up having some disco effect issues.

So I decided to go with one row of black box leds and four rows of T5’s.

I think its going to allow for better blending of colors.
