So i have an Ora Squamosa clam it’s pretty small, had him for about 4ish months, I love clams my favorite invet! But I like the flame angel a lot, and I’m not sure if I should just get one anyway and see if it leaves it alone or trade in my clam or sell it to get a flame angel.

What would y’all do? I know my dads corals beauty angel fish doesn’t bother clams. Just wondering if the flame would not bother it.

I would pick the clam that's just me :becky:

The dwarf angels are horrible when it comes to nipping. The only one I trust and do own a pair - Masked Swallowtail.

I’ve decided to get get a pair of bellus angels,
They are a bit on the pricey side, but I made a deal with my dad, if I graduate with straight A’s I can get some high end fish and corals. Right now, I need to get my system in check, I had a 5 fish die in the past 2 days and my corals are doing eh, and Cyano, but I know why, I had a small Chromis go MIA a week ago or so and found it today all rotten and gross, it was most likely feeding the Cyano, a and gave me a big spike in nutrients, so I did a big water change today, and will do another Friday, and hopefully can get back on track, and only worry about dosing my tank. Out of all fish, that died, my hippo is still alive! Lol

I had a flame angel and while they are very pretty mine pecked everything. He was constantly pecking every rock, coral, and even other fish occasionally. I blamed him for no polyp extension on my corals. I wont have another one in my tank unless it is a bigger tank and LOT more corals so the harassment is spread out.

I had a flame for 4-5 years and it never messed with any of my sps or softies. All it did was nip at the rock but that was it.
