Use to use these yrs ago and found them to not be inconsistent. Won a Hanna alk checker at the Christmas party and it seems to be very consistent.
Sure they have improved over the years. Are you using any of the other hanna checkers and liking them?

I have Alk, Calcium, Phosphate and Copper Hanna checkers. I also have Salifert, RedSea. They all seem to be consistent.
I take really good care of my stuff, don't let them fall and clean them with RODI after use, maybe that helps somehow with consistency?

Still, I don't regret spending the money in multiple brands just to be on the safe side. Heck, I learned really quick in this hobby is better to be safe than costly sorry!

I have been using ULR Phosphate for years. I have heard through the grapevine thatcalcium was the one that gave people the most trouble.

I'm a huge fan of their products. They make the only maple syrup purity checker that I trust.

I have the calcium and it is way off. I will try it again at some point but it's been very high no matter if I use ro water or their water.
