Yeah I’ve been doing that too. And by working from home, I mean being unemployed and picking my nose most of the day.

didnt even know there was a wwz book. i did read Tolkien several times (in german) and another book i must duly mention is the never ending story (in german and also in english) the movie was a joke compared to the complex fabric that made up the context of that book. i remember as the storlines intertwined the color of the font in the book changed to correlate with the individual stories.

it’s like the zombies were all Olympic athletes.

when you say it like that.. bahhahaha

I HIGHLY recommend the book for WWZ. I listen to the audio book about once a year while I was working. It’s so damn cool. Also, I was trying to drunkenly for a Tolkien AMA the other night. The LOTR universe is my favorite story of all time. I’ve read the books, including The Silmarillion, multiple times. I’m dang near a Stephen Colbert when it comes to knowledge of that universe

I keep swiping my cat left when it’s crying at me while I work in the garage, but it won’t go away.

I’m going to have to check it out. Right now I need to figure out my lighting schedule since those T5 are powerful. Everything is looking a little “washed out”. I’m thinking I might switch to actinic on one of the bulbs to get a little more pop.

Google “reef light DLI”. If I told you to cook your lasagna at 350 degrees, what would your next question be? “How long.” DLI is a number that takes your PAR readings and accounts for duration to give you the exact amount of light your corals are getting. If your lights are lower, but you run them longer versus high lights, but a shorter duration, you’re still supplying the corals with the same amount of light. Instead of PAR, people should really be using DLI as their metric.

Yea.. I was at 12 hrs and dropped that to 8 hrs and was considering dropping to 4 hrs during midday.
Yeah you should probably just take them off and leave them out by your trash on say......Thursday around 6pm?

Hilarious.. like I said, Just changed to 8 hrs and going to see how things color up. If they do at all. I will know in about 4-5 days and then jump to 4 hrs per day and see if that brings any Improvment.

Yeah that makes sense. I mean, if your corals grow well with 8 hours of light then they’ll grow three times as fast if you leave them on 24 hours.
