Since I had such a raging success adding the Gem tang. I decided on this for the YT, Purple, sailfin and gem. It’s 24x9x5.5. Still need to add a center divider and build a second.

In case I missed it, did you install any sort of shielding for the bare T5 bulbs? It's not my tangs that splash, it's a multi color lubbocks that loves to splash water out of the tank and a male lyretail that comes half out of the water to feed.

No shielding. But Yes that is a worry. So far the lineatus hasn’t splashed at the surface. He’s actually pretty calm.

There’s a back story here....

I figured no point in dosing two separate tanks and I have not seen any evidence of spots on the PT. Starting to think it was stressed and just the light playing tricks on my eyes and extreme paranoia 😱

So I Added YT, PT, Gem and Naso to tank this evening. Sailfin and Clown tang are in a basket.

They are smaller and I want to see how the Achilles and Kole behave at sun up tomorrow. I’m afraid it’s gonna be like the OK corral.

So Achilles was being a total jerk.. mostly to Gem but also to Purple and Naso (well really everyone now that I think about it..)..

A BIG thanks to Travis @Tstew32 for helping me catch him. Definitely a 2 person job.

Haven’t updated in a while but the short sad story is somehow velvet got through my QT process that along with frequent out of town travel led to a complete loss of all my fish in the display tank 😞

I did seriously consider exiting the hobby but after much thought decided to keep moving forward.

So tank has gone through two bleach cycles. One at 500ppm for 24 hours and another at 100ppm for 48 hours.

I also am taking the opportunity to make some changes to my rock work.

The bleach cycles are being done in lieu of fallow period.

Have several wrasses in tanks in fish room but have not run them through copper or CP yet. They have completed metroplex dietary treatment.
