Well, both FedEx and UPS did it again! Two orders from different vendors that were supposed to be here by 10:30am and I am still waiting.
I am really tired of losing livestock due to the crappy service we get in some areas. I will refrain from any more comments. [Rant mode OFF]

*UPDATE*

I was checking the door every time I saw a shadow through the door glass. Around 4:00pm I went outside to get some trash out and both packages were in the front porch with direct sunlight! Whoever delivered, didn't even have the brains to leave the boxes in the shadow or ring the doorbell as the boxes are clearly labeled "LIVESTOCK".

I promptly got them inside, opened the boxes, and floated coral and fish. After dipping, inspecting, gluing to new discs, it seems all coral but one are OK.
Fish is a different story. Bellus angel pair and one out of three pyramid butterflies were DOA. Not only it pisses me off that fish died because of a lack of proper logistics or someone's incompetence, but even more that it took me a while to source the Bellus angels. I reached out to the vendor and they are sold out. I was told probably another 2-3 months to source them. @#$%*!!!

I like the idea of having the delivery held and I go pick it up, so I will go that route from now on.

Sorry to hear about the bad service. I find it so sad how scared the fish must have been in a dark shaky box losing 02. After a few bad online orders I stopped buying fish online too. Hope more Bellus are found for you

as stated you can do will call with fedex and pick up at 9am. I think ups is a different story. Here they wouldnt let me pick up until 4.30. If shippers wouldnt
ship fedex I dont order from them. One reason i quit live aquaria

I call fedex customer service if I don’t get my box by 10:30. If you tell them you have expensive live perishables that will die if you don’t get them by 10:30, and that your guarantee is already void, they will call the driver and get them to you within an hour.

I had the exact opposite experience when the Jason Fox Live Sale group buy was shipped to my house in February. FedEx told me to go pound sand.

I started having the delivery held and I go pick up

I don't order much so better than being on a truck for 8 hours

I feel your frustration bud

I’ve had great experience with FedEx when shipping stuff to my business. They show up here every day at 9:00-9:30. At home it’s a completely different story unless I pay for first delivery. But you would have to deal with the shipper and pay the extra fee

^^^ This. Fedex & UPS at our office is spot on, luckily my tanks are in my office. Here at the house, who knows... we get packages at 6pm or later sometimes.

I'm getting to were I hate FEDEX. TWICE now I have had livestock packages shipped priority overnight by NOON. Then at noon they update to End Of Day.

Today I literally saw the FEDEX truck stop in front of my house for about 30 seconds then drive off. Then the delivery time was updated.

Customer service is worthless. POS company.
