Anyone else in Montgomery county without power? I’ve had the generator running since about 1pm when they cut off the power. Luckily, I’ve got everything but my lights running, plus the refrigerator and a window unit for my house.
Going up to Conroe right now to check on the house. We have 2 gigantic automatic generators so the house should be okay. The storm wasn’t bad at all in Sugar Land, we ran out and got In n Out burgers at midnight, no issues it wasn’t even super windy

Looks like $650-$750 depending on amperage if you want surge arrester.

What I like about it is no panel wiring changes.

We were without power for about 7 hours. All day long, calling the Entergy outage number yielded the same result - it should be restored by 1:30pm and a technician is trying to find what the problem is. That's real comforting when 1:30 was many hours ago. Only after it came back on did we learn that they turned it off on purpose due to storm damage. Their communication was ridiculously bad. Apparently we can look forward to more of the same for the next 3 days.

The issue has been resolved and the power should stay on today.

I heard that as well, and they're not even asking people to conserve anymore. So the repair people are awesome, the communications people, not so much.
They were just stalling.
