You don’t have to answer them all. Pick the questions you want to answer. If you started with a blank slate (brand new tank) which equipment would you buy right now.

Do you really like the Dastaco?!! I know Joe Caparatta sells them. They must be pretty good.

I really liked the Orpheks because they seem to get great growth. One thing I’ve heard recently about the Orpheks from Greg Carroll was that they’re basically a black box in a pretty package. If you search his name on R2R he posted some reasons why. I was really surprised to hear that. He said you can’t find one tank on YouTube that was running them and that is still running them now after 4-6 months.

I’ve been slightly out of the loop. I have not seen the modular marine overflow. I’ll look it up now. Trying to get a good idea of what I’m gonna buy when the time comes.

Do you see some cavitation with the Dastaco?
No I have not. I like how easy it is to add more alk with a turn of a nob. I have run calcium reactors for over 10yrs this is the first automated so I am very familiar with all types and dialing them in. I got a pretty good deal on mine so I went with the a-4 which is probably much bigger than what I really need. I don’t think that the eflux make AC pumps. If I went back to AC it would be hands down an external reeflo which I ran multiple on my old tank and had those last for many years except the skimmer pump lol. I went with modular marine cause they custom made my internal weir for me the overflow box that came with my tank gave me 2” of water line between the top of the tank. I sent them the measurements and made me something low profile that works exactly how I wanted it. Interesting take on the orpheks. There are some new leds also that I am waiting to see some data on Andre Mueller just got some ATI leds that look a lot like the new Phillips coral care which I am also intrigued with. I however don’t plan on switching from the AIs anytime soon. If I end up building a sun room addition on the house with a 1k+ tank in it I might consider different leds

Yeah, I’ve tried GEO and love the way they look and the simplicity but I just feel like the Dastaco might be fun to play with. I guess you don’t need a kamoer feed pump.?

I’ll have to call Andre and see what he got. It might be the ATI Straton’s. They’re beautiful and sleek, but still peaky compared with a Powermodule or Sunpower fixture. They cover a pretty large area and ATI makes some seriously durable products. I can’t tell you how many times I bumped my Powermodule and looked for the dent and nothing was there. It was a tank. If the Straton was built like that it would definitely be a great option.

@TriggerFan has a bnib dastaco with all accessories F/S. If that’s the route you wind up going, might be able get started there. Also has a complete bn zeovit system f/s. @Ostentum are you still using zeovit? That stuff is pretty next level.
I was only using a couple products. Stopped using all of them about 6 months back using Acropower for the aminos now. Might start up with the flatworm stop again cause I think the corals healed faster it just gets pricey on a 375g tank
