Hello.

I just became a member, and I'm still very new to the hobby, as in I don't even have my tank set up or running. Need a few more components to get started and it's been slow going getting them. Anyways, I am doing this on the cheap, no lie, so I'm following a specific build recommended by my coworker who is in the hobby off inappropriate reefer's cheap 10 gallon setup. The issue is the light I bought isn't designed for my tank, so I was wondering if anyone had the ability to create a block of acrylic or resin that is 3.5in x .5 in I could use to brace the light onto the tank.

Thank y'all for your help, and I look forward to getting my tank up and running and learning from all the experienced people here.

If it's a mount like the one for the Hydra light, I glued Legos to the mounting legs to fill the gap... Perfect size

That's an interesting idea. Its the AquaNight 30W. I'll try legos lol. Thank you!

Lol, ok, here are a couple shots but they suck since the light is on the tank... Glued them to the bottom of the mounting leg so it sits flush against the glass despite the rim.

Depending on the thickness of the glass and the weight of the light, the length and width of the plastic piece my need to be bigger to disperse the torque put on it.
