Maroon clownfish doing fine. Droops a bit on the tail side when swimming but definitely eats and moves around a bit. Tank is a fish only with
live rock. It has a resident tang and a bicolor angel that have been in the tank for a few years (4-5). Do not wish to move to a reef as I do keep up...
Same here. All my remaining fish (3) have shown no ill symptoms and continue to eat as normal. I am guessing old age was the culprit.
Fingers crossed all remains well for all of us.
David,
Hopefully all will be well and not spread to other fish.
My other fish (maroon clown, bi-color angel, powder brown tang are continuing to do well and eat with no illness symptoms. Going to keep up the water changes
and hopefully all others will continue to do fine. Will update in...
Didn't see any flashing or notice any spots on the damsel while in the tank or after i removed him. No other fish show any symptoms of distress.
Hopefully not ich. I have not added anything to the tank in years because I had a good group of fish that got along well. The three stripe damsel...
9 months later and the maroon clownfish seems fine. I previously had a egg crate barrier that kept the maroon clown from harassing my bi-color angelfish. This
had been there a few years. I removed it after breaking the tank down and doing a good cleaning. Put all back together without the egg...
My three stripe damselfish died this morning. Have had him in my 55 gallon aquarium since 2015. I noticed him not moving very much on Thursday evening and a bit swollen in the stomach area.
Water parameters were all within range with salinity at 1.024. Water temps is 77.2. Other fish (bicolor...
Not much I can do. I do "target feed" the Maroon Clown. As long as the food is in the area, she gobbles it up. Colors are good, just lays on side when not eating.
Thanks,
SUP
I have a large (female) maroon clownfish that recently (first of December) started laying on it's side in the back of the 75 gallon tank. She lays there until it is time to eat and then goes after the pellets, brine shrimp, etc. She gets her fair share of food. Then she goes right back tot he...
Is Krylon Fusion All in One Marine Aquarium safe?
I just finished building and installing a internal filter in my 55 gallon tank made of black acrylic. I would like to have the pvc portion of the water return painted black in order to not stick out.
This is a fish only with live rock tank...
Maroon clownfish doing fine this morning. I do not recall seeing the tail like it is now but I haven't really focused on the clownfish in quite a while. Going to observe for a bit and if it gets worse, I will treat, hopefully it is ok.

I have had the fish about 3 years. Never noticed the spot on the tail fin. Fish behavior is the same as it has always been (eats well, bit of a bully towards others.
No flashing / scratching. I have other fish in the tank (powder brown tang, bi color angelfish, and a small damsel (3...
Hard to explain but my Maroon Clown (large female) has some type of "fungus / covering" on her tail fin.
The clownfish is in the regular tank and eating fine and acting fine. Just noticed the fungus looking covering today. it is not white but a bit darker / grey in color.
What would be the...
Need advice:
I have a 55 gallon tank with a Maroon Clownfish (3.5" or so) and a couple of damsels and a newly added bicolor angelfish. I put the bicolor angel in the tank after rearranging the rockwork about two-three weeks ago. I have noticed that the maroon clown will chase him upon sight and...
Lost my old faithful floating glass hydrometer. Do not see any of the glass type in my area.
How difficult are the refractometer style salinity checkers to calibrate?
Thanks,
SUP
