Do you recognize this scumbag that stole a torch from Oceanlife?

I’d rig the door so that when he walks in again it locks, and then you can call the cops and show them the video when they get there. I bet he steals crap everywhere he goes.

    Losing my SPS Corals

I’m just talking about any swing in general. Salinity, Nutrients, Alk, Temp, etc… You see a lot of issues with overdosed Zinc in source water. Low or overdosed Potassium can be a major issue. Couple a few of these with depleted Iodine and Fluoride and things start to get irritated and check...

    Tampa Bay Saltwater

I’ve had both TBS and KP Aquatics. I like KP’s rock better. It’s very clean and the shapes are better. Beautiful coralline algae and sponge growth. That’s on their starter rock. They have older rock, but it has macro’s like TBS. I’d rather avoid all the plants.

    Losing my SPS Corals

How long have you been keeping SPS? Most likely a swing. It could be source water related. It would be good to know your zinc, potassium, iodine, levels.

    DIY Phosphate Dosing Solution

You can always spread it out when you have the highest consumption rates, but I personally just spread it out over 24 hrs as I can spread out the dose more which is less hitting the water and less impact to the system/corals. For example…if you’re dosing your 24 hr Kalk consumption only at...

*Winter Storm Severe Weather Alert* Are you prepared?

Speaking of plastic bags…I just taped off my glass patio doors with 2 mil plastic. It’s already much warmer here on the sofa. That should help keep the colder air out and lock in some heat for longer if the power is cut. After I did it and got looking at it…I should have just bought some...

    DIY Phosphate Dosing Solution

@Cody So 16mL will raise 125/G by .02 ppm. 1mL will raise 125/G by .00125 ppm. That is a good weaker solution for low demand on dosing pump. On my GHL I could spread that dose out 150x daily.

    DIY Phosphate Dosing Solution

If you dose .02 ppm daily it will always be safe. No guess work. :-)

    DIY Phosphate Dosing Solution

I’m lost! How does 1mL raise 1/G of RO by 0.16 ppm, but you’re dosing 4mL to 125/G and it raises by .005 ppm?

    DIY Phosphate Dosing Solution

Just make it to where you’re only raising your PO4 by .02 ppm in your total volume (in 24 hrs) for how many mL’s you want to dose. I’ve helped several people with their Brightwell dose and it’s much weaker than what you’re describing above. The formula is on the back of the bottle. It’s like 5-6...
