    This is great for late nights when you don’t want to pull the generator out. I have a super cheap tank oxygenation set up - car battery, harbor freight inverter, air pump with a large air stone. 😊 If I need to plug in chiller/heater needs to be plugged to a larger inverter obviously.

    Wow I was really surprised by this talk with Jason Fox (someone who I really admire)- it could save some of us so much headache and hundreds if not thousands in supplements especially if you are following Triton or Moonshiners program just by simply doing water changes and no other supplements...

    We probably lost a couple of dozen reefers since you been gone 😂😂😂 Torches should be less now - some LFS bought them high now they are stuck can’t afford to sell for less.

    I have not caliberated in about 6 months but I do compare it to a refractometer once in a while. Also, I rinse it with fresh water after every use not sure if that matters or not. Love this thing - every reefer should have one.

    Let the saga begin... Took me over a year to have 6-8 tangs in the tank. I got lucky bought most of my fish from other reefers. The livestock quality is not like it used to be back in the day. I would quarantine if buying from LFS.

    I would not trust the fake Chinese amazon brand - that all depends on tank size and weight. I have seen people drop tanks with bad quality suction cups.

    I have few varieties no direct feeding but I do feed fish eggs and oyster feast so I’m sure there is food in water columns. To answer your question- no direct feeding.

    Yeah it will take some time to cycle - I have seen diatom bloom 6 months after tank start up.
