It was only a few months old so no dust. And in an open area no hood, so well ventilated. I had alot of trouble with the first replacement but have had no issues so far with the second replacement. Fingers crossed this one lasts.

Update. Everyone of the first survivors may have survived the night. I haven’t been able to actually see the pistol shrimp but I think he is in his burrow. Fingers crossed.
And the coral banded shrimp came back to life after sitting in a bucket of cold water all night. But he seems to be just...
Uhhh, I’m so mad I did this....
Did the largest water change I could with available water, about a 1/3rd of the tank. Added extra carbon. I took out all the inverts once I realized what was going on and into some extra water, but don’t have a quarantine tank, so I moved them back into main tank...
I got a bunch of new corals today and dipped in insecticide. I’m guessing I didn’t rinse them well enough. Anything I can do??

It’s alive because it retracts when I shine a light on it. And the other day something stringy was coming off one of them.

Well, the new light finally came in but it keeps turning off randomly... super frustrating. Does anyone know if it needs a constant WiFi connection once a schedule is programmed. I’m wondering if it’s an issue with the new light or my internet??

So my hydra 26 light is not working, called customer support and they are sending a replacement power supply. Replacement should take 2-3 days to ship. Do I need to get another light in the meantime or just go with no light for a couple of days??
I have a few corals, zoas, acan, candy cane...

Does this look like tail fin rot or just fryed fins? He does spend a lot of time in a cave with lots of things that can poke and scratch him. If fin rot, how do I treat it?

My personal favorite is inappropriate reefer. I got into the hobby because of his 45gallon. I also like all the others mentioned too.

This is my first reef tank. I’ve got diatoms all over my rocks and tank is just cycled. Does that mean I’m ready for a clean up crew?? If so, what do you recommend. 45 gal all in one, JBJ.

I was looking for 1/2 inch tubing. I found some at Home Depot. I appreciate the comments to point me in the right direction.

Ok, I found tubing, but now I can’t find a y fitting locally. Any ideas on that, been to Home Depot, Lowe’s, Walmart, west marine. I called city pets, they don’t have it.

Where can I get tubing for return pump locally? I ordered a pump online and got the wrong size tubing and Y connector.

Water report has a range of 0.50 - 3.57 mg/L of Chloramines detected. Average of 1.66 mg/L.
I was thinking about starting with a 5 stage.
