    To me, he was the Anthony Bourdain of the reefing world. He had an ability to make you want to explore and learn new things about this hobby. I will miss him dearly :-(

    Thanks. I've been keeping a close eye on my mix reef. I'm keeping it at 79. However, still keeping my nano at 82 to continue fighting dino. There are only anemones and clowns in it. So far it's been great battling it. Will probably lower it to 80 this week.

    I've noticed my corals react better in dirty water. I truly believe most of us are stripping too much nutrients from the water column. My system has been running strong for a year without protein skimmer or roller mat. Notwithstanding this, I haven't had any luck with sticks.
