A good friend of mine swears up and down that he eliminated Aiptasia with Joe's juice.

After watching a ton of YouTube videos and reading reviews...I decided to try Aiptasia x.....BUT GIVE ME THE BAD NEWS.

I've tried Bhergi's and Apt-X.

Apt-X seemed to reduce the numbers, but there always were some. I don't know if it caused it to spread more or if that was just naturally happening and I was able to "slow" them down with Apt-X.

Bhergi's - I saw them eat a few, but they all died (unknown why) and there was plenty of Aiptasia still around.

I'm not sure if I'm going to try peppermints or filefish next. There's enough in the tank that I don't think Apt-X or F* Aiptasia will work... I'll never be able to catchall of them.

Dude I’ve used it so many times only to get three times more than I ever started with. Yes it melts them and looks like they melt away but they are so hardy all they need is a Piece of foot to regenerate. Besides that, when you turn your power heads back on after killing them, they just have parts fly around the tank and start growing in new places. I’ve tried to siphon out everything I killed many times and never had any success not just making a bigger mess than I started with. This is years of experience using it.

If there is any “snake oil” in this hobby I would say this is for sure it.

This is the right choice... except I'd use bleach.

I can't put the rock back with bleach. It will need to be rinsed regardless. I usually blow torch it and use a spray bottle to spray the affected area off really well before returning the rock in my tank. Most of my rocks have corals on them. So I have to get in done in 5 minutes or less. I pull it out, use a vapor mask, nuke the rock, spray/rinse, and return to the tank quickly. I run a little carbon just in case.

Problem is aiptasia usually appears under the rock or ledge-very hard to reach.

Aiptasia loves dirty water and multiplies quick-so try to keep your nutrients low if you want less aiptasia,

This stuff works very well and very safe to keep your PO4 in check-way cheaper than gfo

Yeah usually i just pull the rock out, bleach it for a day then prime / rinse / air dry it for 2 months because I forget about it. Obviously not with corals on, i usually remove them when I go through this.

After coming back from vacation and work trips (about 3.5 weeks) I noticed the aiptasia is pretty bad right now. I just bought F-Aiptasia (they are located in Fort Worth). I will update everyone with how it goes. I really expect to have to buy a filefish though.

Just used F-Aiptasia for the first time a week ago and the area in which it was used is still bare. I really like this stuff compared to aiptasia-x.

I'm with the peppermint shrimp crowd. I've bought from multiple stores and I've always had about a 50/50 chance with shrimp.
