Can someone tell me if this is bryopsis, GHA, or something else? It is not easily removed from rocks, seems to have deep roots like bryopsis, but doesn’t have the “feathers” that I see in other bryopsis pics.

Not quite sure unless under microscope. Could be Derbesia spp. which is a turf style algae. If the tank is fairly new I wouldnt worry. Derbesia has thick cell walls and is not apetizing to most inverts and snails, however certain grazing fish and urchins will eat it.

Fun fact, urchins, despite being eaters of coralline algae, are great for helping coralline algae spread. They're very sloppy eaters and will propagate new colonies of coralline throughout your tank due to their lack of manors as dinner guests.

GATGO Green hair algae that grows on everything!! Try and get a better pic please, I don't think it is bryopsis. It doesn't have the feather like ends. How old is your tank? What is your micro life like?
