Anyone run one? How much has it helped?

I'm having a little bit of an algae battle right now and been thinking about building a simple upflow one with a project box maybe, 12"x7". I could also even use a pre-built grow light, those are very common and pretty cheap now days. Total buy in would be under $40.

Did you get that bacteria I told you about? All you need is that bacteria and some bio pellets or vodka dosing and that will fix your algae issues. Imo, algae scrubbers don't remove enough of the nutrients to be effective.

Actually completely forgot about it. Just ordered some now!

Haven't decided if I want to do pellets (my sump is pretty small, but there is space) or vodka dosing. I still haven't added my dosing setup yet.
