THIS is what is annoying about alkatronic.

The machine itself runs without hiccups and is consistent itself. The only downfall is the reagent dilution and calibrations once a month make the machine crazy. The best way to calibrate is to use a scale instead of attempting to measure volume by graduated cylinder. However, lately my calibration is going cuckoo. I know this because I test salifert alk daily and I know for a fact it’s not jumping around from 4dkh to 6, to 7 and 9. Before this it had served me well for several months. Accuracy is based on human error, or lack there of. Observe.

do you have micro bubbles anywhere near your sample water?

I don’t think so. I did change location from sump to top of dt butthat should not have made a difference. Location of inline to alkatronic was level at both locations.

I just make a huge batch of the solution so I don't have to fight my own inconsistencies and can go longer spans without having to mess with it.

I calibrate every 3 months now... The drift is so minimal over that span (0.2 dKh) that it isn't worth my time to do it as often as they recommend.

So in the end... I interact very little with the alkatronic itself and it just does its job.

I totally agree. This time it made me recalibrate my ph probe and that probably caused the funk. My hands did not want to cooperate for this.
