Check the big bridge in destin that goes over the channel. I use to snorkel there and see lots of stuff including coral and gorgs.

Be careful with that. A fishing license doesn't cover bringing livestock over state lines.

Yes I know I just try not to bring anything big or so special just small fish and invertebrates that I find at the jetties or while swimming at the beach and I also don’t bring a lot just a couple of things but thanks for letting me know!

I’m going to try that this year because the last time I went the current was too strong and wasn’t good for snorkeling but hopefully this year!

You want a “slack high tide” and a good place is the Destin jetty. It butts up to East Pass and has tons of life. I’ve caught the best clear days from June to August. As long as there’s no storms. The surf is normally flat in the summer. Slack high tide...i’m telling you!

Sounds like a blast. I loved Crab Island when I was younger. A lot of partying there. Great place to swim and relax on that sandbar. The jetty’s are just across the street.

Where I am staying this year is around that red circle. The jetties will be pretty close to me which is good and will probably have a nice view of everything.

Yeah it is still brown from the types of phyto. right now, but pretty clear. It will start to turn green in the next couple months and then the collecting is in full swing. I am:turboink: itching:turbowhr: to get out there!!!:yippee:
