Sorry I didn't make it out tonight. My wife and kids wanted to go swimming at the beach instead and we just got back home.

What did y’all manage to catch?

The weather was perfect and we started collecting at 8:30pm during an incoming tide. We were only able to collect about 12 very small ones and all within very calm, stagnant space between the rocks. This is wildly different than my previous trip (almost 10 yrs ago) where we would net shrimps on every scoop.

It just depends on the night. Some nights are very fruitful while others are not. Basically like fishing. Sometimes they move in/out at different times and in between or after those times there’s less action.

There’s always something to been discovered in the summer no matter what. A lot of life in the rocks.

If anyone wants to collect, now is the time to do it. The water has been extremely calm and super clear this entire week. You can see clear to the bottom in the shallows.

Or at least come along for the ride. I really don’t collect much anymore. I hand the net to my wife and I’m the bucket man. I stay completely dry and if I do collect- it’s shallow. You only need knee high boots.

I just took two of my nephews to the west end of the seawall this evening and had them do most of the collecting while toted the bucket. Great minds think alike.

So I can get Travis to go. I’ll be bucket man and he can splash in the water [emoji2957]:lol_hitting:

That makes two of us. Honestly...you don't have to get wet. You can stay on top of the jetty. Most of the stuff is caught in the cracks. Although I have figured out were all the blenny's hand out. I can catch 20+ about every time if I want to. For some of the good larger blenny's you have to get your feet wet, but everything else is easy. It's just fun looking around with a LED flashlight. Everything is FREE! LOL.

I have some other spots that are less work and easier walking too.
