Leopard blenny
I need a few aiptasia eaters.
Looking nice down there. I’m gonna go tomorrow night I think. See if I can catch a large Molly Miller blenny and some Peps for a few Aiptasia that I haven’t torched yet.
I need some peppermint shrimp too. I have one large persistent aptasia I need to get rid of. Is there one groin in particular that is better for collecting than others or are they all about the same? I was thinking about going out tonight.
Not really. Shallow water during the day no further than the second bar. Just scoop up anything floating or any kind of debris. They hide under it or in it.
I have had the flu all week, but I should be better by the end of the week if you wanna try and get together next weekend.
I also have a few you can have but keep in mind they get about two ft. full-grown

They're all about the same. The only difference between the jetty's is the ease of access and walking them.
I'll have to try one if I can get it that small.

On a side note if you like the clear water to collect you better go soon!! It will be messed up for awhile. They are about to start dredging again

It’s been long since I’ve gone collecting in Galveston. When I went to my Florida trip I got stitches on my hand for being real stupid but I had fun! I snorkeled and saw all kinds of creatures from a variety of fish to sea turtles. I also had a net with me and managed to catch some blennies, an 8 inch pipefish, a filefish and some other fish which species I’m not aware of. Between the rocks I would see doctor fish which I would’ve loved to catch but they were too fast. Looking forwards to going again next summer.

Ohh yeah, that's right off the jetty's! Look at all the life down in there.
J/K...this is obviously not Galveston.
It's the Steinhart Aquarium in CA. A friend of my is there now because they just got 2 Peppermint Angels.
Man the traffic is crazy west of 61st street. Also, it looks like they have started dredging again. Not sure how the water looks yet. My daughter and I just got to the groin across from the rainforest cafe.
