I might try to go flounder fishing sometime during these next two weeks and see if I can find any cool stuff to collect too while I’m at it.
And Merry Christmas to you too!

Live finger mullet or flounder pounders with the curly tails.

Have fun bud!! Wish I could go but I am booked to the middle of Feb.

Just real in slow and if you feel like you might have hit something let it sit for about 15 to 20 seconds or till it starts moving then set the hook. Flounder are funny and like to hold on to it before swallowing.

Like i said have fun, becareful, and good luck. Post some pictures id you get anything please.

I will make sure to post if I catch any! I am probably going to try Seawolf park if it isn’t packed and if it is I’ll just look for a different spot. Thank you for the advice!

If you go to seawolf park and it is packed just hit up the left side before you go into the park. Just walk up and down the beach.

Are you going for a day trip or night?

Hey sorry for the late response, the app didn’t send me notifications. I actually went to Seawolf today and managed to catch a speckled sea trout that was around 20 inches and some other small fish which their identity I wasn’t sure of. There were no founder though, I tried using a curly tail minnow lure to catch them and had no luck so I moved on to dead shrimp and that’s when I caught the trout and some other fish that were being caught repetitively. Over all it was a nice calm day with a beautiful sunset. Here are some pictures.

Also, recently I set up another 30 gallon tank which is going to cycle to make it a reef tank. It has a 10 gallon sump with an aquatic life mini 115 protein skimmer and for the refugium I’m deciding to, of course, put in some macro algae but not sure yet what kind and want have a nice population of copepods. For substrate instead of sand I am going to order some marine pure ceramic biomedia cubes from algae barn and hopefully that does good. For the refugium light I ordered an 8W IP65 light from luxbird which has good reviews on growing macro. And for the last chamber of course, the return pump will go there for now. I already got a 168W LED coral light from luxbird which also has good reviews on thriving coral. If I’m patient and careful, hopefully this will be a fun and rewarding new tank to work on. I already have a 30 gallon tank set up but doesn’t have much into it and I think I will use it for only specific creatures I catch in the upcoming spring/summer season from Galveston.

Doesn't look like the vids work, I'll keep trying. Also I'm pretty sure it was a clingfish after some researching

Not the best video, but you get the idea. Quality dropped when it transferred to YouTube I guess.
