Anyone else have neon-green algae growing on their rocks? The Brown has subsided.... is this the next stage?

Sorry for the idiot questions, but it's been about 5 years since my last marine tank, and I can't seem to find information about this in any of my old journals or manuals....

Thanks

I read that a lot of Fiji rock comes with green coralline that you don't notice till it starts to grow then gets covered by the purple later. The Neon Green algae is porbally coralline thats what I am seeing now in my tank. Take a tooth brush to it if it doesn't come off then its coralline. The more dull green that grows on the glass is the next round of nuisance algae after brown.

Your guess is right on Wildfire. First brown then green then hopefully purple and other cool coraline colors :D . I'm in the green phase right now as well..............

Here is a pic of some of my green coralline.

This whole rock was covered in hair and bubble algae until the foxface cleaned it up. Probably why the pink coralline is faded out somewhat.

Don't mind the hydroids in the top right corner, I am working on them. The foxface cleaned the entire rock around them. They have some hair algae mixed in that he wouldn't touch.
