Ive finally got this baby up. I was going to use Eggcrate and had some in the tank, but I took it out as it was somewhat flimsy. I dont think I had the eggcrate just right yet. So I am going to stick with sand for a while. This was the prop tank that Kevin (Reefalot) created for me. I added a 48" Aquaspacelight to this tank since I am a big fan of HQI's. Not only that it matched my main 72" display tank light too. ;) How girly is that? ;) Well this is it.. I wanted to share some pics and also show you what a great job Kevin did on my tank as I took some closer shots of his work. It still impresses me how he doesnt have ANY bubbles in his seams like myreefcreations does or other acrylic makers. Such an outstanding job. Just FYi, there was no bracing needed as he oversized the thickness on the acrylic sheets. Oh on my Aquaspacelight, I have a AB 10K 250w DE on the left and a XM 20K 250w DE on the right. Please feel free to ask any questions or comments. Enjoy!

What are the dimensions of that frag tank? I'm looking to have a custom built tank much like that in the future. Mostly for brains and other LPS.

The dimensions are 48x20x12. I had this custom made to my specs so it would sit right above stepped concrete in my garage. Why dont you ask Kevin for a quote? kevin@aquaticimagesystem.com or PM him here, Reefalot.

FishinAggie, Aiptasia filled tanks is the next reef generation. You dont know what your missing!!

Is your garage heated/cooled also?

I would have to say yes. Because I have two fans blowing from the inside of the house keeping the garage at room temps. I only have one on 24/7. And the other doesnt come on until summer time if it gets too hot. This was without a chiller. I always kept my temps at 82 or lower. Since I have a chiller now, I dont have to worry about that. These poweful fans also help air/water to keep PH stable (Chemistry of O2 with H20 and other elements). I also have 2 heaters for the cold days or if one decided to fail or give inaccurate readings. :) My garage walls and door are not insulated either. When we had the tank tour a lot of people saw this. It all worked out very well.
