I’ve got a black photon that bites the bejeezus outta me every time! It’s taken skin, and is still just a juvenile. It’s gone as far as doing full on rush, bite, rips its head around, and then back flips to try and rip skin off... almost like playing tug of war with a puppy, but my hand is the rope. My black ice is the sweetest little guy ever... never bites, just curious. The only real difference is my black photon hosts in a nem, but the black ice does not. I wonder if the nem brings out the aggression

IMO clowns that host nems definetly defend their homes.
Agreed!! Just find it amusing that the temperament is night and day...

Short answer for thread though:
Clowns don’t need nems, and nems don’t need clowns... they will both fare well without the other. It’s just a fun symbiotic relationship to watch. Just need to make sure you’re spot feeding the nems at least once a week if you don’t have a clown.
