I have always had ich in my tank but have had no problems. I added a new tang which is now the king of the tank and has stressed all my other tangs. Now ick is a bad problem. I have a yellow, purple and naso. Powder brown died a week ago. Clowns, wrasse and couple anthias. TTM is not the issue but keeping them in a temp tank for 76 days seems like a very long time...

yeah it kind of sucks. My new tank is fallow. I'm going 90 days. Mid September for me. Kind of brings the new tank progress to a halt.

That sucks too. I’ve been told that it’s not completely necessary to go fallow for ich, but to compensate with heavy feeding. Not ideal but I like this answer better.

I ran fallow when I had velvet in my 150. One of the few survivors was a 5 inch bannerfish that was way too big for the 20 gallon QT, but somehow it survived the 76 days.

Years later when velvet attacked my 300 gallon, I tried to go fallow, but I couldn't catch the last two fish (blue tang and clown) for anything. They never showed any signs of disease, and I just treated the others with copper and put them back in. That was over two years ago and the disease has never returned.

My fish have improved drastically. Somehow there was an overnight shift in which my purple has returned to being the alpha. Everyone is eating well and thus shows less and less ick.

My tank has been ich free for many years. When I did have it I have found the best remedy is to elevate the temp of the tank as high as your tank can handle for as long as it can handle say 83f for 2 months should do it. I would defenately not add anything else to your tank until your ich issue has been solved.
