I bought a vegitable medley grab bag at Wallmart. I ate part of the seed it tasted not bad. But all good I like to try new things and go to different places. There is a whole world out there just waiting for you to discover. I am glad I didn't smash it with a hammer.

My condolences on everyone's weather related losses...we lost our 3 orange trees we grew from seed (and they produced amazing, super sweet, cutie-sized 😪

Moving on...We replaced our woodframed garden two seasons ago...with cinder blocks - hand leveled and stacked two high. Super solid, able to walk on edges, doesn't rot or shift. Downside... let's just say I call it my prison garden.

Hubby made and awesome tomato cage with PVC and plastic chicken wire... double doors on both sides. SUPER at keeping birds and squirrels out.

Had a horrible growing season this year, so hoping for better next season.

I might have to fo the cinderblock trained bed. That will definitely last longer than the wood ones. My wood ones lasted 7 years so we got good use out of them.

I've debated this for some time. I don't want to use treated wood if I'm planting something I'd want to consume.

I used untreated wood - 4 years later wood frame is still solid.
