Do any of you have specific room decorations where your aquarium display is that are aquatic related. If so, what do you have? We are moving into a new home and my wife asked me that question and I really did not have an answer for her.

I don't currently, but when I do get around to decorating one thing I'm looking at doing is getting some of my aquarium photos printed on aluminum and hanging those. Nice and sleek and simple.

In our last house we had some palm tree / beach type pictures in the aquarium room. Now the tank is in a more common living area, so we do not have those things up anymore. It looked good though.

My husband has made me an octopus shelf so that I could put my glass fish that hes bought me over the years. I am still trying to find a few painting to go on that wall.

Flipside I just went through that thread on RP and that is great planning and fantastic execution. I wish I had the space and could get my wife on board with that kind of build. The way he did the "sandwich" on his metal stand is great. I will definitely do that type of top on mine when we move.

My tank keeps ending up in the dining room area. This was the old house, but the same oil painting I did 22 years ago in high school is hanging up again in the new house.
But like tektite, i may eventually enlarge some photos for the new space.

He really is doing it right. Speaking of doing it right, d2mini as always is doing it right, again. I have been following his system on aquatic log, it never ceases to amaze.

I put my tank on there. I really like it and all the options it gives you for tracking your system.

I like the room theme ideas, for me, one room theme is arctic, the other is ocean. Im into the whole marine biology thing, so I have some fish sculptures, large sea shells, some with lamps in them, some cheap simple art, christian lassen art, and light colored unfished wood for all the furniture to give that laid back hotel on the beach atmosphere. I also have some driftwood with small drawers in in for display. Theres all kinds of stuff out there to just keep an eye out for I once had a glass jellyfish globe that had different colored led lights shine through it that was like a nightlite at night, and recently I came accross this kids stuffed turtle thing where you switch it on and it makes your cieling shimmer with waves like the ocean, you have to see it. I think its called tranquil lights and sound turtle. it turns out it's more a catch for adults than for kids.
