Do you have a recent FTS? How do you keep your nem in one place & not killing your acros? I am about to redo my current tank and I love my nems (gonna cut down to 1 or 2 from like 20) but I'm worried about them traveling/splitting etc. Was thinking of building a separate nem island in the tank, they don't really move a lot until they split.

I don't but here is the last video I shot and an older FTS.

I've found certain types of anemones are just more prolific. Rainbows, Shermans, black widows, and RBTA can often multiply like crazy. My Colorado Sunburst just gets bigger... Maybe splits once a year or two. My ideal candidate for being in an Sps tank. It also stays put... Never moves unless it splits... Then one split will often relocate.

A nem island will be great but just keep in mind it won't be 100% effective. Some will get off in time and you'll have to hunt them down and relocate.

First off, awesome video. Second, DAMN you have a lot of fish! Nice!

What kind of anthias are those? How are your emp & scrib angels with the corals? Why 2 different light set-ups?

Maybe I'll sell off all these RBTA, Speckled BTA & 1 sherman & get a Colorado.

Sorry I've been MIA. Been distracted!

To answer your questions 2 months later... [emoji15]

1) Bimaculatus anthias
2) Both emperor and scribbled are my prime suspects for nipping. No damage though.
3) Love T5s for the display... Clean, full coverage with natural look. Radions are fun for the display as they make colors pop from above while I look down into the frag tank.

Easy choice for me... CSBs just blow all other anemones out of the water... You'll never go back.

Tyree Superman - lesser known one but what a beauty. Hard to capture the blue but think iridescent bright in person.

With all the new stuff out these days, his collection still shines bright in my eyes. They don't need tons of blues to look good.[/

This was my first Acropora in 1996, every year when I see Steve at RC I show him this. At that time no names were given (Tyree Tri) I’m partial to this colony that’s been with me from the beginning.

Thanks for the reply. Thought those were bimacs (I have 1 left out of 3 I bought 1.5 yrs ago). Awesome tank! I'm going to have to look into those Tyree acros!

Hi. Been following on R2R, just realized you were posting here too. Great threads!
Thanks Tom! I've been a little wrapped up lately and have been slacking on my updates on here. For sure my thread on reef2reef is more up to date. Thanks for following along!
