I have an apex so I have a salinity probe. +180 isn't terrible considering getting aquabus cables or a seperate cheapo apex to run the remote dos would have added about another 100 for the dos. Having both heads on one axis one pump does make a lot more sense. Disregarding head failure, it would be tremendously easier keep both input/output synced with just one motor pump.

I think im going to put this plan on hold until I can secure a stenner.

Is there a vendor that’s selling it for cheaper than 700? @Cody was there suppose to be a link?
Sorry, I thought I threw in the link. Here they are, $376 brand new.

so much apex hate lol
No, I think the apex is as essential as having a return pump, just certain parts and equipment are crap.

Jk, no I don’t. Salinity probes from apex are worthless. Just threw them all away.

Have to agree with the statement above. If you calibrate regularly it sort of ok. It’s never consistent though.

But overall Neptune wave pumps/salinity probe are junk. 😂

Other Neptune products are awesome!

Waste more $ on calibration fluid on something that will never stay calibrated..

I never calibrate and it’s been holding steady for me. I double check with refractometer

I was super excited when I got them wanted everything Neptune and had all their gadgets.

Pumps just die for no reason - it didn’t last long.

You can go to Neptune forum community to see the complainants.

seems cool but not 30 bucks cool.

everytime my salinity probe gets screwy, i shake it a bit and it goes back to normal. Air bubbles get trapped in there and screw it up.

so far i haven't had to recalibrate. Its within .3-.5 of my refractometer.

I think finding the right spot in the sump will solve a lot of the inconsistent readings. I run a couple of small tunze pumps in the sump to keep it clean and keep things moving.

I’d be very much ok with those readings if I had a salinity probe.

Any update on this/How's the DOS working out for you?

I'm also looking at the LiterMeter pump this time around.

i was thinking about it and it was trying to do it for my big tank. It doesn’t really make a ton of sense to do it to the big tank yet. So imma do it on the small tank. Gonna start this weekend.

@MurseJB how’s your setup working?
