Every year I like to start a thread where everyone can post up what good deals they see for Black Friday. I went to Harbor Freight today and they put this flier in my bag. Nows the time to buy that generator you’ve been holding out on!

Also, what are you looking for this BF/CM season? Post what you’re looking to get on the cheap and others can help direct you to the best price if they see a deal!

I’m looking for some retrofit T5 kits. If you see a deal on them then let me know!

Not worth the hassle when BRS has brand new ones on sale for $109 each for the 60” ones. A lot of places have BF sales going on now but $155 down to $109 might be the best deal I’ll get.

I’m also looking for a nice 50ish inch tv for the new fish room. I’m blown away with how cheap TVs are now though!

I saw your post, and I was considering buying them, but you live on the south side of Houston (I’m the north side). Plus I’d have to remove the black paint on the back of the reflectors. Those things expand and shrink as they heat up and cool off, so the paint will crack, and I don’t want it falling in my tank. The price I was thinking of offering would probably be offensive to you so I didn’t bother, especially when they’re $109 brand new with free shipping right now.

I couldn't wait. I'm starting early. I picked up an anampses leonardi today!! He wouldn't stay still long enough for a good pic. So u get 2. Could have bought like 5 TVs vs this fish :confused2::doh: 20221118_140758.jpg 20221118_140809.jpg
Gorgeous fish! I had to look it up to see what it looks like though haha

That’s one of those absolutely stunning fish that you don’t see that often. I’ve always wanted some rare anthias like that too.

I only stick with LG Samsung and Sony?. I once bought a 60 inch I think it was a sanyo Never Again. It was such a piece of junk it did not even last a year and even though it took a year... got my money back....manufacturers warranty...Wallmart told me tough bananas.. With a tv quality makes a big difference. Just to let you know from my experience.

sanyo hasn't made tvs since the early 2000. They were purchased by panasonic which also stopped making tvs. They were later bought out by chinese companies trying to cash in on the name brand. Do no buy any tvs from the legacy old namebrands.

There are some decent "cheap" namebrands popping up. Vizio, TLC, and hisense are pretty solid mid performers that usually punch above their price point. Sony has gotten a resurgence in the past few years as they rebuilt their consumer electronics divisions. Their current line of OLED are the best on the market right now.

I recently purchased a hisense 65" for work and it is a great tv for 350 bucks. I liked it so much that I bought a 65" u8h for my game room to replace a gaming tv. I wanted something with VRR to match the ps5. So far it has exceeded all my expectations for a cheaper mid/low end brand. If I was replacing my tv in the living room, and wanted something fancy, I'd be looking at LG or Sony very closely. But black friday is usually not the time to buy flagship tv models.

I bought the 60 inch around 5 years ago. I am pretty sure is was a Sanyo but I could be wrong???? I really like my 55 inch Samsung. It comes with the Samsung network cus it is a smart tv. That along with utube I don't need cable any mo. I get amazon prime for free now and then but NEVER miss it when I don't have it. All good.
