Ok so I have another question for y’all....I want to use black sand in a new tank. My experience is that it’s 2 course for any sand dwelling critters.
My question is can I crush the substrate to a finer grain and use? Seems like it would be some work but I really like the contrasting color AND really want sand dwellers as it keeps the need to clean my substrate WAY down in one of my other tanks with white. Thanks in advance for any help!

Not really...just went with one lol. The tank is actually leaking so I’m awaiting it’s replacement in which I was wanting a fine grain black...if possible
