I have heard that blue jaw triggers are peaceful and reef safe. My tank is a Fish only with live rock. I have a couple of snails and one small hermit. I also have about three blue / yellow tail damsels, one domino damsel, and one maroon clown.

I saw a nice 3 - 3.5" male blue jaw trigger at the fish store and would like to add him to my tank. Will he co-exist with the fish listed or will they eventually become a meal?

They are great reef safe fish. They have a great personality. I can pet mine and he eats from my hand. Keep in mind though, they are very energetic and need a lot of space. They also get very big and produce a lot of waste. I have one that is about 8" that is with many other fish, shrimp, and snails big and small, and never a problem. I don't know how big your tank is but make sure you can provide for him long term. Those are hard fish to rehome when they get big.
