Is there anything out there to treat brook in tank ? I just purchased 2 orange storms and got brook after a couple days. Unfortunately they did not make it. Now im seeing brook on the rest of my clowns and worried for all my fish. I have about 10 tangs, mandarin goby, diamond goby, 5 wrasses, and it will be impossible to take all out and treat all fish. A buddy of mine said he noticed a tang and a wrasse rubbing on sand so im worried the brook is spreading.. any recommendations?

You could try Dr. G's Anti-Parasitic Flat Pack or Dr. G's Anti-parasitic Caviar fish food.
Also, heavy feed frozen food or pellets soaked in Selcon or Vita-Chem - I would spread in three or four smaller doses per day until they get healthy again.

Oh man, that's horrible. I don't know of anything in tank that you can use if it's brook. The sand and rock will tend to absorb any type of treatment making it difficult to dose. How big is your current tank that everybody is in?

I'm guessing there was no qt for the new clowns and they brought the brook with them?

No qt they are supposedly ora orange storms so i would have thought they would have been good. The tank is a 210 and just got done with cycle. Only have a few frags in the tank so removing corals treat tank is a option if needed. And yes very devastating i tore down previous tank(150) because i could not find my blue tang that im very attached to. Ended up finding in overflow.

My recommendation would be to remove all rock and sand and treat with copper. Since you have wrasses, you can't use chloroquine phosphate.

You could put the rock and sand in a separate container and keep flow on it and it should stay alive.
You can put a small bowl of sand in there for the wrasses to hide in. You will have to monitor your ammonia closely with that many fish and removing your biological filtration.

Brook is very fast so I'd do it asap.

Since I hate copper, another option would be to remove the chloroquine phosphate (CP) sensitive fish like the wrasses and treat them in a 20L with copper. And treat the tangs in the 210 with CP. That way, if the copper kills anything, it will be just a few fish and not your tang population. And, CP is safe with prime for ammonia where copper is not.

If you choose this route, get with me. I have come CP on hand.
