Are any of y’all using their titanium heaters? What’s your opinion of them?
I have 2 of them. Works just like any other but they don't have a controller built in. I like the titanium heaters because the glass ones make me nervous.
I TRY to replace heaters every year to 1.5 years but I keep the old ones for emergencies if they are still working. All my titanium heaters from brs and fennic are still going.
how long have you had the Cobalt heaters? I had 3 and they all failed. Got them about 5 years ago. First one failed off, second shorted out and tripped the gfci, third failed set to the highest temp and could not be adjusted. Took under 2 years for them to all fail. I had my apex setup with two power bars on separate gfci and critical stuff split between them as well as alarms so there was no impact.I have two 500w finnex in my big tank. I have them controlled with a Ranco which then is controlled by my apex.
My favorite one and down heater is Cobalt titanium heaters. I have the 200 and 300w. They maintain preset 77-78 deg temp in ANY water volume. I’ve used them in 10gal qt tank- 60gal dt and temp has always remained at 77-78 deg. I feel so confident in them that I don’t feel the need to put a ranco on them.
