You have to test four times per day minimum with the unit, so I'm curious what times y'all test and what are the results, specifically in regards to alk.

1) Do you dose two part or use a CaRX?
2) Are your levels lower in the morning?
3) How much do they vary throught a 24 hour cycle in relationship to when lights come on and off?

I'm using CaRX and kalk reactor and I can not control with Trident
2) Are your levels lower in the morning?
Normally alk is high in the morning and decreases during day when corals are getting

My alk vary around 0.5 dkh. This is because I have turned my CaRX and my kalk reactor. My CaRX does not work in night

Are the levels lower in the morning. Cody...

Yes...of course they’re “higher” in the morning.
Haha you know what I mean, dang it! I meant consumption! I was just curious to what degree these parameters swing throughout the day, especially for someone with a CaRX, considering that I just strapped one on my tank.

A couple friends of mine on a group text are debating cavitation and efficacy with the reactors. So Minh modified his old Geo. Heh! This may interest you Cody.

Very interesting stuff. Now, let's throttle that up and inject the co2 with a device that was meant to do so: a venturing injector.

Not using the trident but I am using an alkatronic below is my weeks chart ignore the big drop that’s when my power went out. Currently dosing the same amount every hour 24/7 with 4 measurements a day with the alkatronic. There is a trend my alk goes up on the 5 and 11 am before my lights come on and then drops during the 5/11 PM readings

1)Do you dose two part or use a cal Rxtr?
—2part plus dosing kalk with dos.
2) Are your levels lower in the morning?
Not always. Sometimes higher in the am by .15. People don’t really understand what’s changing in our tanks until you’re testing at 2,3,4,5,6 am. Things are growing and then for other periods, they’re not. This affects alk consumption.
3) How much do they vary throught a 24 hour cycle? Since I started dosing kalk through DOS trident controlled dosing is a little off. It’s changing dosing based on measurements for alk, cal, and mag. Yes, I have two DOS Units. Attached you will find my kh deviated about .15 today. Usually a high of 8.05 and a low of 7.95. It did hit 8.15 as a high yesterday. 7F7867CC-63C4-41FE-BBE8-1D43F2BB74A5.png

What I found is that numbers at night changed more than I thought with just a plain old doser. It was surprising to see once the trident was installed. .4-.5 dip at night. I was seeing most dips right at the end of my lighting cycle till about 2 hours after lights out.

Hope this helps.
