Was doing some maintance painting to my bay window. Which includes actually laying on top of my aquarium cabinet. Well then this happened. If that aquarium glass cracks I would have 125 us gallons throughout my bungalow. As well one of 2 furnace air intakes is just below the aquarium. I got a new trane furnace last summer and is in my basement so furnace would probably be toast as well. Work done was around 5 years old. The center plastic support snapped around 5 years ago so have made a new support out of wood. This new work might last a bit longer cus there is no water absorbing particle board now. I will do a thorough inspection every year now. I really want to get a new window but they say to install it the aquarium has to move so not now.

Ya and guess what. First time I tried screwing in the front ...the top braces were not over the lip. And I screwed them right. 5 screws tight. Second time I decided to use 4 screws and the metal brace.

im not a brave man. I prob wouldn't lay on my tank. Seemed like it all worked out at the end there.

whats in the bags on top of the tank?

Ya I guess I can get a paint brush and put it at the end of a stick. Just easier and faster the way I did it. Today I was cleaning the paint off the windows after painting yesterday... Insulation... I am not a home body and like to be out and about. I always hated winter but if you are dressed for it it ain't so bad. I keep my house in the 60s unless I have company come over.

Ya it is truely amazing that tank did not pop. I have always been a daring daredevil. Those wooden frame windows need to be painted every year. Paint brush on a stick next year
